Hi, I’m Sarah
It’s so nice to connect with you!
I know that feeling of caring about your work while quietly wondering, is there still room for me to grow here?
Maybe you’re feeling it too…
Wanting something more but struggling to put it into words.
Wishing someone would see what you’re capable of AND give you room to use it.
Longing for change, while worrying about what you can afford to risk.
You can be grateful for where you are and still want something different.
I wanted more room to lead and grow. I also needed stability. Holding both made it hard to know which step to take.
If that feels familiar, you don’t need a polished answer to “What’s next?” You deserve space to say what you want even before you know how to make it happen.
A little about me
I’m Sarah Simpson, founder of Blue Lotus Global and an International Career & Leadership Advisor + Coach.
I help ambitious women at a career crossroads recognize what they bring, discover what they want, and turn those insights into a strategic next move.
My approach brings curiosity, honest conversation, and practical strategy together. Your experience matters. So do your income, responsibilities, and hopes for what comes next.
My story
For nearly two decades, I worked internationally to expand opportunities for women and young people. I cared deeply about that work. But I’d begun to feel a quiet pull toward something more: room to grow, lead, and use more of what I had to offer.
Then, in 2025, all my projects were cancelled as global policy and foreign aid shifted. The field I’d built my career in was changing dramatically. I wanted a new direction but I hadn’t imagined losing the ground beneath me.
I found myself asking: What now? What do I want and how do I build it from here?
Blue Lotus Global grew from those questions. I began recognizing how much of my experience could travel with me, while stretching into new skills and ways of working. It took courage, learning, and a willingness to begin before everything felt certain.
That experience helped shape Career Breakthrough. I know how unsettling it can feel to want change while needing stability and how much it matters to have someone help you see your possibilities and find a practical way forward.
Yoga has helped me find my footing for more than 25 years.
My creative outlet is black and white photography and small space organic design.
I’m a huge Olympics fan and it is on my bucket list to go to the next two games in the U.S. and Australia.
While on a research trip in Nigeria, I wrote on a piece of paper a list of things I wanted to achieve in my career. 10 years later, that list came to full manifestation.
My greatest passion, outside of being a mom, is to support women and youth in strengthening their ability to be financially independent, aligned in life and career, and embody their full worth.
I spent a portion of my childhood in rural Australia and survived crocs, snakes, spiders, stingrays and wild boar!
In my twenties, I backpacked around the globe exploring many countries with the Türkiye, and the Greek islands my favorite stops for food and scenery so I stayed 2 months!
Some Fun Facts About Me
The experience behind my approach
I’ve spent nearly two decades helping people access better opportunities and helping leaders turn ambitious goals into action. My work has taken me from women’s groups in rural communities to advising senior government leaders, with a consistent focus: expanding choices, recognizing people’s capabilities, and creating pathways to economic independence.
I’ve overseen a $25 million international program portfolio, helped shape national workforce initiatives, and contributed to White House efforts supporting women’s economic security. That experience taught me to look beyond confidence alone: income, access, visibility, relationships, and practical support all influence a woman’s ability to move forward.
My strength is seeing the bigger picture while finding the next workable step. I listen closely, recognize patterns, and help you connect strengths and experiences you may have never considered together. Then we translate that insight into possibilities, priorities, and action - so clarity becomes momentum.
As a certified professional life coach, a mother, and a woman navigating her own reinvention, I understand that career decisions reach far beyond work. I bring strategic judgment, compassion, and respect for what’s at stake as you build a future that makes fuller use of who you are.
I bring more than three decades of work experience in multiple countries, a master’s in Global Policy, and a bachelor’s in Anthropology. Underlying it all is a lifelong curiosity about human nature: how we live, grow, and face challenges, individually and collectively. That curiosity shapes how I listen, ask questions, and help you recognize possibilities in your own experience.
